Finally, on the seventh day, I returned again to Sea Isle City at low tide.
The waves had calmed a bit, making conditions a little more favorable for metal detecting.
While sweeping the search area again, I received a deep, solid signal.
I dug down carefully through the wet sand.
And then—it appeared! A beautiful white gold wedding band glinting in the sunlight.
I couldn’t believe it. Seven days underwater and I finally had it in my hand.
I called the family immediately.
Jim was beyond thrilled. His face lit up the moment he saw his ring.
Everyone was so grateful. The ring held deep sentimental value, and having it back meant the world.
He slipped it back on his finger, smiling from ear to ear.
Jim was finally able to end his week in Sea Isle City with a happy heart.
