Amy lost lost her cell phone the other night while walking her dog on the beach in Wildwood Crest, NJ. She and her husband went back to the beach later that evening and again the following morning to look for it with no luck.
After speaking with Amy about the details of how the cell phone was lost, I began a thorough search of the area. Approximately 45 minutes later, the cell phone was found about 8 inches deep in the sand. Amy was happy to have it returned because she needed it for a meeting later in the afternoon!
When a IPhone or cellphone is buried in the sand it can be found with a metal detector on the beach. The beach can hide even the biggest things under the sand. When the wind blows the sand it can seem the phone is deeper that it is when it was lost. It was windy in Wildwood Crest NJ the night prior and caused the phone to go deeper in the sand.
