Lost Wedding Band Recovered in Cape May, NJ!
Andrew was enjoying a sunny beach day in Cape May, New Jersey with his family.
Like many families, Cape May is their go-to vacation spot every summer. The beach, boardwalk, and ocean views never disappoint. But this day came with an unexpected twist. While relaxing in a beach chair, Andrew took off his platinum wedding band. He placed it safely in the cupholder… or so he thought.
Later that evening, back at the hotel, he realized something was missing his ring! Panic set in. He retraced his steps in his head. That’s when he remembered the beach chair cupholder.
Thankfully, Andrew found The Ring Finders South Jersey online. He contacted me through the Ring Finders South Jersey Facebook page while in Cape May. I got the call and immediately grabbed my beach metal detector and gear. I was in North Wildwood, just a short ride over to Cape May, so I was there quickly.
When I arrived, Andrew walked me through what happened. We marked the spot where he was sitting. With my detector in hand, I started a careful grid pattern in the sand. I scanned back and forth, listening for the right tone. A few bottle caps and coins showed up at first. Then, finally, a strong signal right next to where the chair had been.
I dug gently and there it was Andrew’s lost wedding band!
The look on his face was priceless. Relief, joy, and a little disbelief.
