Neil decided to put his wedding band in the pocket of his beach chair for safekeeping while he spent time on the beach with his wife and friends in Ocean City, NJ. After he got back to his house, he went to look for the ring but discovered a hole in the pocket instead. He gave me a call and examined the situation. The ring could have dropped in the sand by the chair or anywhere along the path they walked home. I met him where the group sat and started the search there. There were several targets, mostly Matchbox cars, that I had to weed out, and then I heard the tone from the metal detector I was expecting, the sound of the ring. Now their weekend getaway in Ocean City, NJ was able to end on a high note.
